Holistic Nursing Diploma Online
The Holistic Nursing Diploma online program provides in-depth training to nurses who are interested in integrating safe holistic practice in their clinical settings. The course provides training in well-established modalities: including reflexology, chair massage,swedish massage, hot stone massage, aromatherapy, and energy healing. Together, these modalities allows the nurse to provide to offer effective holistic health care therapies to a broad range of clients with varying needs in the community.
Course duration: 500 hours or 6 months online - includes online access to all materials necessary to complete the course. You can complete the course at your own pace or as quickly as possible.

Module Schedule
Module 1: Review Physiology, and Pathology of disease.
Module2: Therapeutic Relationship, communication skills
Module 3: Stress Reduction, Self-care, Nutrition, Health and Wellness
Module 4: Massage history, Effects, Indication, Contraindication of Massage Therapy
Module 5: Body Mechanic, Client Positioning, and Draping
Module: 6 Swedish massage techniques
Module: 7 Infection Control and emergency preparedness
Module 8: Treatment Planning: Intake, Assessment, and Documentation, ADPIE, or SOAP documentation
Module 9: Hot Stone Massage
Module 11: Aromatherapy chemistry, therapeutic properties, commonly used oils in treatment
Module10: Seated Chair Massage
Module 11: Energy Based Bodywork, Chakra Balancing using crystal therapy
Module 12: Foot Reflexology, guidelines, techniques, indication and contraindication
Module 13: Business, Marketing and Setting up Private practice as a Holistic Health Practitioner
Pre requisite: Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or License Practical Nurse and able to use a computer.
This course is accredited by the National Association of Holistic Health Practitioners -NAHHP.
Students will be expected to complete their 80 case studies using the techniques thought, in a private setting, clinical health care setting, medical spa, day spa, holistic health center or wellness clinic.
The program combines online theory, reading assignment, demonstration of techniques using DVD’s, end of module test, and 80 hours hands-on practice training for case studies in a spa setting or holistic health care setting approved by College of Health Studies for practical placement /case studies.
Student must pass theory, end of module test with a passing grade of 70%, and completions of hands on case studies or clinical placement.
Funding: Nurses in Ontario may qualify for reimbursement of tuition fees paid for up to $1500.

Upon completion of this course students will be awarded the Holistic Health Nursing diploma and 1 year membership the National Association of Holistic Health Practitioners
